Oxfordshire Mind Housing and World Book Night 2017

Oxfordshire Mind housing residents will be taking part in the annual World Book Night.

Organised by the Reading Agency, 160 copies of The Missing by CL Taylor have kindly been donated for clients of Oxfordshire Mind’s housing services. The night aims to distribute books to people who may not normal read including those who may be isolated and vulnerable, less confident adult readers or those who don’t read for pleasure, LGBT groups, men and women of all ages in prisons, people with mental health issues, parents and vulnerable pregnant women and young people who don’t read for pleasure.

Oxfordshire Mind are proud to be taking part in this program and we look forward to sharing the reading experiences of our housing service users in due course.

William Lazenby, Housing Team Manager, has been instrumental in implementing this program across the different housing programs, he is very much looking forward to implementing this program annually. The books will be distributed next week with a follow-up event where service users can discuss what they’ve read.
