This year, the 2nd – 5th June is a long bank holiday held to celebrate the first Platinum Jubilee and our Queen’s 70 years of service. You’ll sure to be seeing parties, BBQ’s and gatherings as family and friends get together and celebrate.
To make the weekend extra special, you can help raise vital funds to support those struggling with mental health problems by fundraising for Oxfordshire Mind:
1) Bake off
Who doesn’t love The Great British Bake off? You can hold your own and rally up the competitive spirit. Ask your local community, groups or friends and family to take part and donate as an entry fee. Select your judges, and let the competition begin!
To make this event extra special, download our fundraising pack and specify your event to receive your Oxfordshire Mind cake toppers.
2) The Corgi treasure hunt
Gather your local community and children because there’s been an escape! The Queen’s corgis have hidden the crown jewels, and they need to be found before the big day! Ask parents for a small donation for children to take part, and for those who find all 5, they win a small prize.
Register for our free fundraising pack and specify that you would like the Corgi version.
3) Afternoon tea
Afternoon tea is inherently British and also delicious! Gather your friends and family to get your kettle on, cakes on stands and collection boxes out. Sign up for our fundraising pack to receive all the elements needed to make your Afternoon Tea a royal success.
4) Jubilee celebration event
Whether you’re holding a BBQ, a street party, a small gathering with friends & family or dancing the night away, you can raise money for Oxfordshire Mind. Our free fundraising kit has all the essentials you’ll need, including collections boxes, posters and fundraising tips – Order yours today!
