This year Oxfordshire Mind have launched a World Mental Health Day campaign to get staff, service users, local workplaces, local educational institutions, National and Local Government talking about Mental Health through submitting contributions into the #OxMindWMHD book.
Prior to World Mental Health Day (10th October), people can submit contributions into the #OxMindWMHD book these could be a Pledge, Photo, Art Work, Personal Experience or Journey, Challenges Faced, Poem, Literature to name a few. Everyone has mental health, and this campaign allows individuals the opportunity to open up, discuss challenges, and break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.Contributions can be submitted in confidence or named.
To coincide with this, on World Mental Health Day (10th October), Oxfordshire Mind will be holding an ‘Olympic Relay’ style event around the County. Loose leaves of the book will be travelling around Oxfordshire to collect contributions for the book, visiting schools, colleges, businesses, workplaces, the NHS, 3rd sector partners, and others. The relay will end with an event at County Hall at 4:30pm, where the book will be submitted to the Leader of the County Council – Cllr Ian Hudspeth.
