Wokingham Peer Support Groups

Berkshire West

What is Peer Support?

Peer support groups bring people together to provide mutual support around mental health and wellbeing in a safe and welcoming space. Having the chance to speak to people who have been through similar experiences can be incredibly reassuring, provide a sense of belonging, and help people find the support that’s right for them. Follow this link for a video explaining a bit more on what peer support is all about

How to refer

Please note we cannot accept drop-ins – service users must wait to be called and booked into an upcoming group session.

Weekly group timetable

All our groups are running in person at the Wokingham Charity & Community Hub in Waterford House.

General Peer Support Group – Monday and Thursday afternoons

Our General Peer Support Group will give you the space and time to get to know people with similar experiences. You can come and join us for some tea and biscuits and a chat, or you can get involved in activities, the choice is yours. Each meeting will be slightly different, the structure is very open, and we welcome your input as to what you would like to see each week.

Art Group – Wednesday mornings

Our Art Group will give you the space to explore your creative side! We’ll provide you with art materials, but you’re also more than welcome to bring in your own supplies and projects. Our aim is to give people with shared experiences the space to be creative and foster meaningful connections with others, in a safe space where you can talk about your wellbeing and mental health.
