Visions

On the 19th May the Abingdon Mind Wellbeing Hub will once again open its doors to members of the public as part of Oxfordshire Art Week. This year the Abingdon Wellbeing Hub will focus its exhibition on the theme of Visions, at all sensory levels. The theme for the exhibition was selected by service users over the winter, work is then under taken during the spring time to produce the variety of artworks which are then shown to members of the public. These artworks vary from sculptures (head sculptures), collages and art works in acrylics and pastels

Eve Savickatite, South and Vale wellbeing worker, says: “it gives service users a real sense of achievement, working towards completion and thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere and the process around it. The opportunity to be able to work creatively, to focus and to be recognized during the celebratory exhibition is great for all involved.”

Beth Brown-Reid, South and Vale Manager, says: “Oxfordshire Mind is proud to be taking part in Oxfordshire Art week for the 9th year! We understand how therapeutic art can be for many of our service users and we are always delighted to show case the thought provoking art works during the exhibition.  Members of the community are invited to attend the exhibition on the 19th May (11:00am – 4:00pm) at the Abingdon Mind Wellbeing Centre, The Charter Complex, Broad Street, OX14 3LZ.”
