Alex Farrow and Harry Househam, the duo behind Jericho Comedy, have been supporting Oxfordshire Mind since 2015, through fundraising at their own shows, doing talks and virtual festivals, selling Christmas crackers and organising the annual Oxfordshire Mind Comedy Gala.

To date they have raised an incredible £136,471 for Oxfordshire Mind!

In 2018, Jericho Comedy were awarded Oxfordshire Mind’s ‘Outstanding Commitment’ fundraising award.

In 2022, Jericho Comedy were awarded Oxfordshire Mind’s ‘Special Recognition’ fundraising award after raising £100,000 for the charity.

They have shown true passion and dedication to the charity and their phenomenal fundraising has made a huge difference to Oxfordshire Mind’s essential services and our mission to ensure everyone in Oxfordshire receives the respect and support they deserve.

Jericho Comedy is Oxford’s independent comedy club, regularly hosting big names from TV and across the comedy circuit.

They pride themselves on being one of the more alternative nights in Oxford, with some of the UKs most exciting comics. Their Saturday night showcases have been recommended by the Sunday Times, they were awarded ‘Top 6 comedy clubs in the UK’ by the 2019 & 2020 Chortle Awards as well as ‘Top 5 UK comedy venues’ Culture Calling.

Since 2015, Jericho Comedy has been raising vital funds for Oxfordshire Mind through their comedy events. Their weekly sell-out comedy shows, and annual Comedy Gala has raised over £136,000 for the local mental health charity.

Since the first sell-out event, the Comedy Gala has been a roaring success and a staple in the Oxfordshire calendar. The Comedy Gala has previously hosted big names such as Nish Kumar, Rosie Jones, James Acaster, Rachel Parris, Ivo Graham, Ed Gamble, and Hal Cruttenden.

As well as stand-up shows they also do loads of other comedy shows in bookshops, museums and even on moving buses, from improv shows to murder mystery.
