Alistair Burt, Minister for Community and Social Care visits Oxfordshire Mind
In aid of World Mental Health Day, MP Alistair Burt, Minister for Community and Social Care, visited Oxfordshire Mind and TalkingSpace on Thursday 8 October. He went on a tour of the TalkingSpace site with colleagues from Oxford Health NHS Trust and met with people who deliver the service. He then visited our Oxfordshire Mind offices where he met with former users of the service and sat down for a roundtable discussion with representatives from Mind, Oxford Health, and the Clinical Commissioning Group.
It was a really successful visit and a great opportunity to discuss with the Minister the wealth of services available in Oxfordshire, the work we do, the challenges and successes we experience, and to further raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing this World Mental Health Day.
