Kintbury St.Mary’s School Climb Pen Y Fan

A group of year six students from Kintbury St.Mary’s school in Hungerford have climbed Pen y Fan for Mind in Berkshire. Pen Y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres high, and less than ideal weather conditions the students had their work cut out to reach the top.

Joe’s mum Kerry on reaching the top: “What an adventure! It was a really challenging day…The children were all absolute superstars, they kept plodding on and kept their spirits up. They’re all feeling very proud of themselves…”

The students have raised a staggering £1, 129 for Berkshire West and we couldn’t be more grateful. A huge thank you to all the students at Kintbury St. Mary’s.
