Wellbeing Service Volunteer

“I have watched the group expand and become a very close group, welcoming and homely. I am getting a great deal of satisfaction when enabling others to achieve things they never thought possible.”

Current Wellbeing Service Volunteer

We currently have a backlog of volunteer applicants, so at present we are not taking on any new applications to volunteer with us. We look forward to welcoming new applicants in the future, and in the meantime please feel free to get in touch with us at volunteering@oxfordshiremind.org.uk if you have any questions.

The Wellbeing Service provides short courses and peer support groups, helping people in their journey to improved wellbeing and better mental health. Wellbeing Service Volunteers help with our peer support groups. These groups focus on a range of activities including art, cooking, reading and music. Volunteers help to welcome people, and encourage them to engage in activities.

Training required: Oxfordshire Mind Volunteer Induction Training one day course, and half day wellbeing service training.

Time commitment: We ask for a commitment of 1 session per week (2 – 4 hours) for a minimum of 3 months. Volunteers should arrive before the session and stay for a debrief with staff at the end.
