Parkruns are informal, timed 5k events taking place on Saturday mornings at 9 am. The best part? You don’t have to be a seasoned runner to participate. Whether you prefer walking, jogging, or running, parkruns welcome individuals of all fitness levels to partake in this uplifting experience.
However, we understand that attending parkruns might be challenging for some individuals who require a bit of extra support. That’s where our compassionate parkrun volunteers step in. They are there to provide practical assistance and a friendly face, ensuring that those who find it difficult to access parkruns can still participate and benefit from the empowering environment. While our volunteers can’t offer specialised well-being support, they are committed to making your parkrun experience as inclusive and enjoyable as possible.
Currently, our volunteers extend their support at Oxford University Parks, Abingdon, and Banbury parkruns. We are also excited to announce that we have plans to expand our presence to Harcourt Hill (Oxford Brookes) Parkrun in the near future, further broadening our reach and impact.
