Mr Saturday night himself, Alex Farrow is the resident host of Jericho Comedy’s weekly Saturday night shows.
His quick wit, smooth charm and controlled MCing have helped Jericho Comedy gain a reputation as one of the best comedy clubs in the UK (Chortle Award Best Comedy Night in the region – 2019 & 2020).

Jericho Comedy is Oxford’s independent comedy club, known for its fresh, alternative approach to live comedy. Regularly hosting big names from TV and the UK comedy circuit, they’ve built a reputation as one of the most exciting nights out in the city.
Their popular Saturday night showcases have been recommended by The Sunday Times, named one of the ‘Top 6 Comedy Nights in the UK’ by the Chortle Awards in 2019 & 2020, and listed among the ‘Top 5 UK Comedy Venues’ by Culture Calling.
Since 2015, Jericho Comedy has been raising vital funds for Oxfordshire Mind through their weekly sell-out shows and their annual Comedy Gala, which has become a staple of the Oxfordshire calendar. To date, they’ve raised over £195,800 in support of local mental health services.
Since the first sell-out event, the Comedy Gala has been a roaring success and has featured some of the UK’s biggest comedy names, including Nish Kumar, Rosie Jones, James Acaster, Rachel Parris, Ivo Graham, Ed Gamble, Hal Cruttenden, Adam Kay, and Dom Joly.
In addition to stand-up, Jericho Comedy also runs a variety of creative comedy events in bookshops, museums, buses, and beyond — from improv shows to murder mysteries.
