Could you support someone reaching breaking point?

Join us and make a different at Oxfordshire Safe Haven where we have been providing non-clinical mental health crisis support since 2018.

What is a Safe Haven Wellbeing Worker?

Safe Haven Wellbeing Workers work with adults experiencing mental health crisis and distress. Crisis can be interpreted in lots of ways but may include struggling to cope or experiencing thoughts of distress, self-harm or suicide.

They offer same-day support both by phone and in person. They carry out risk assessments and collaborative safety planning, provide non-judgemental listening support, and offer signposting in a person-centred way.

They deliver grounding techniques and distraction activities in our hubs in Oxford and Banbury, to the people in our communities who need it most.

This is a rewarding and meaningful role with access to excellent supervision and learning experiences to support career progression. We operate as part of the local Crisis Pathway, and we work in collaboration with our clinical colleagues within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to deliver Safe Haven.
