Parents and additonal support
This information is for parents or guardians who are supporting a child or young person. Being a parent or guardian of child or young person who seems to be struggling, can be really worrying, and you might be feeling overwhelmed or unsure what you should do.
Look after yourself
Supporting someone else can be tough and stressful. It’s important to look after yourself too. Booking an options session via the information line, will allow you to explore ways to improve your own wellbeing and access services that can support your mental health.
Its important to practice self-care, finding time for yourself is equally as important as juggling family, work, and home life. Its important to put yourself first, set yourself challenges, not to be afraid to ask for help, stay connected with others and try to encourage healthy decisions.
