Getting involved with Oxfordshire Mind is a brilliant way to support mental health, challenge stigma and help us help more people affected by mental health problems. Why not join us, volunteer or fundraise?
There are several ways you can show you care:
Join us: become a Member of Oxfordshire Mind
Oxfordshire Mind is all about people. Since we were founded in 1967 we’ve been making sure that anyone in Oxfordshire experiencing a mental health problem gets the right advice and support.
You can help us challenge stigma, campaign for better support, design new services and celebrate the amazing people with work with by becoming a member of Oxfordshire Mind. You’ll receive monthly email updates; a twice yearly members’ magazine packed with behind-the-scenes interviews with staff, volunteers and people using our services; invitations to join us at our talks, events and AGM.
Many amazing people do some incredible things to fundraise for Oxfordshire Mind – whether you want to run a marathon, pole dance, sing, busk or run a craft-a-thon, you can use your talents and time to raise money to help us provide more services to the people who need our help.
In 2016, anyone fundraising for us will be offered a year’s free membership of Oxfordshire Mind, plus a branded t-shirt or running vest to show the world that you’re fundraising for us. Find out more about fundraising for us.
Volunteers are essential to our work, enabling us to provide more services and better services to people with mental health concerns. To hear more about what it’s like volunteering with Oxfordshire Mind check out our volunteer blog. We have all sorts of volunteer opportunities available across Oxfordshire, why not take a look at our volunteer roles for more information. To apply for a volunteer role, please complete our application form.
If you have a skill you want to use, but don’t see it listed, please get in touch so we can chat about how we could work together.
Service User Involvement
If you are already using Oxfordshire Mind services, or have done in the past, then we’d love you to become more involved with our work. By joining our People Bank you’ll have the opportunity to be involved with service development to ensure we continue to design and deliver high quality services, sit on interview panels, attend or man stalls at public events and talk to the media. Visit our People Bank page for more information on how to get involved. Or email firstname.lastname@example.org
