Wellbeing Walk Leaders

“Volunteers will be the absolute lifeblood of this project… It’s a chance to make a concrete difference to people’s lives, get yourself fit, and most importantly have fun!”

We currently have a backlog of volunteer applicants, so at present we are not taking on any new applications to volunteer with us. We look forward to welcoming new applicants in the future, and in the meantime please feel free to get in touch with us at volunteering@oxfordshiremind.org.uk if you have any questions.

The Walking for Wellbeing project helps people with long-term mental health conditions to get active. Wellbeing Walk Leaders facilitate short walks from a variety of existing mental health locations and support participants to improve their mental and physical health.

Training required: Oxfordshire Mind Volunteer Induction Training one day course. Walking for Wellbeing Induction half-day course. Walk Leader Training half-day course. Ongoing support will also be provided in placement.

Time commitment: 1 hour per week (weekdays morning or aft), for a minimum of 3 months, plus group supervisions every 2 months.
