Sporting Events

Competing in a sponsored sports event is a great way to support Oxfordshire Mind - and we’re incredibly grateful to those who choose to do so.

As part of the Oxfordshire Mind Team, you’ll also receive lots of support throughout the process. From training and fundraising tips to a friendly face when you cross the finishing line!

Oxford Half Marathon

The Oxford Half is returning to the historic streets of Oxford in October 2021. Whether a seasoned runner or a newbie to the race, join us for a weekend of celebrations and run in the city of dreaming spires. 

Live entertainment and DJs will keep you running (or dancing – we won’t judge) to the finish line as you take in the stunning sights of Oxford.

Blenheim 7k

World Heritage site Blenheim Palace is the spectacular location for this family-friendly fun run with a beautiful lakeside off road section. 

Three events to choose from and one great day out: the main 7k, 4 miles for buggies and wheelchairs (note it is a challenging route for wheelchairs) and 1 mile for under 15s.

Bike Oxford

Bike Oxford 2022 places will become available early 2022.

Bike Oxford is a day of short (25 miles), medium (50 miles) and long (80 miles) marked rides, taking in the best scenery of Oxford and the surrounding countryside.

London Marathon

If you’ve been successful securing a place through the public ballot system then we’d love to have you as part of #TeamOxMind!

We can offer you lots of encouragement, support and advice for fundraising and training along the way – please get in touch!

  • A dedicated point of contact throughout your journey – Leanne is there to support you from fundraising to finish line
  • A fundraising pack with lots of advice and tips on how to maximise your fundraising efforts
  • Help in sharing your story, whether through the local paper, online or on social media.
  • An Oxfordshire Mind T-shirt or technical vest and T-shirts for your supporters
  • A certificate to acknowledge your sporting and fundraising achievements
  • Real-life examples of how your efforts are making a difference to people living with mental health problems.
