We are excited to launch our first ever Mental Elf Festive Family 5km Fun Run!
Whether you walk, jog, skip, or run, it’s all about having lots of festive fun whilst raising funds to support people in Oxfordshire with their mental health.
Taking place at West Witney Sports and Social Club on Sunday 1st December, this event is for all abilities and ages and focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing.
Thank you to all our elves and to everyone who sponsors them. Together, we can ensure no one has to face their mental health struggles alone.

The Mental Elf Festive Fun Run will take place at West Witney Sports and Social Club.
Limited parking on site so please park sensibly in the Windrush Ind Park next door. Public parking is located at the bottom of the estate and is less than a 5 min walk to the ground.
Toilets & refreshments on site.
Dogs allowed.

What should I wear for the event?
We encourage you to embrace the festive spirit with your attire for Mental Elf! Feel free to don a Santa costume, Christmas jumper, or any other holiday-themed outfit—you’ll be spreading cheer and adding to the fun atmosphere of the event.
Will there be refreshments available during the event?
We are looking into having the café at the sports ground open throughout the event. So you should be able to purchase a variety of hot and cold drinks, as well as food.
Is there a designated registration area?
Yes, the location of this is TBC but our team will be available to assist you and get you ready for the event!
Is there any indoor space?
We are looking into having the pavilion at the sports ground open throughout the event.
Will there be medical support available during the event?
Yes, specialist medical support will be provided by CCW Event Medics, who will be on-site throughout the event.
Will the event go ahead if it rains?
Yes, the event will proceed as planned if it rains. However, in the event of severe weather, such as flood, ice or snow, we will conduct a site visit and if we need to make any changes or cancel due to safety concerns, we will notify all participants as soon as possible.
What should I do if I need to withdraw from the event?
If you need to withdraw from the event, please inform us as soon as possible by emailing fundraising@oxfordshiremind.org.uk. This helps us manage participant numbers and make any necessary adjustments for the event.
If you are unable to attend but wish to transfer your entry to another participant, you may do so up to 7 days before the event. Please contact us at fundraising@oxfordshiremind.org.uk to make arrangements.
The right to postpone and/or cancel the event is at our discretion due to factors such as (but not limited to) adverse weather conditions. In the event that we have to cancel we will notify all participants as soon as possible by email and reschedule the event to a new date.
Tickets are non-refundable.
