This 8-week course is for people who have difficulty with their emotions, and for whom irritability or anger in particular is a problem.
We will explore the ways in which difficult emotions are connected to situations, thoughts and behaviour.
Participants will learn:
- how to manage stress that can lead to irritability, anger and frustration
- ways of reducing the strength of emotion that they experience
- skills for behaving differently when experiencing strong emotions
This course is designed for people to refer themselves to. Please note that we do not provide evidence of attendance.
All applicants are expected to attend an Options session, as well as a subsequent 45-minute individual assessment with the course facilitators prior to the start of the course. More information on this will be provided after online registration. Please note these are scheduled to take place within the daytime (10am-4pm).

If you are interested in any of our courses please first call the Information Line on 01865 247 788 to arrange an Options Session (available over the phone or in person). During this we will identify together which of our courses, groups or activities might be most useful at this time or signpost you to alternative activities elsewhere in the county. We will also send through further details about any recommended Mind courses along with details of how to book a place (either online or over the phone).
