Benefits for Better Mental Health (BBMH) is undergoing several staff changes which means that we will between 29th of July and 18th of September we will be offering a reduced service.

Throughout this period, we will only be able to accept new appeal cases and answer general enquiries and provide signposting.

We will ensure that we respond as quickly as possible to enquiries and will ensure that all clients who have ongoing appeals will continue to be supported.

We understand that benefits and appeals can be difficult, and we will endeavour to support everyone through this period.

From the 18th of September we will be announcing a change to the service going forward and we will be announcing this as soon as possible.

There are several benefits available to support people with mental health problems and their carers. These include personal independence payment, new style employment support allowance, carers allowance and universal credit.

We know that it is sometimes confusing figuring out what you can claim, and how. That is why we have an accredited team of experts dedicated to this service, known as Benefits for Better Mental Health (BBMH) who are there to support you through this.

Due to Covid-19 we will remain limited in the number of face to face appointments we have available when we reopen fully. Callers will be offered a telephone appointment in the first instance. Please also be aware that we cannot normally make calls on your behalf unless we have taken specific authority or you are with us.

If you need support with anything mentioned above, please contact the BBMH team who will then get back to you to organise a call or face-to-face meeting with you, from their offices in Osney, Oxford.
